Condeixa-a-Nova started free collection of waste from commercial establishments

1st Edition – Training in Action Home composting

It took place on June 9 the first edition of the training action in Home Composting. The action had the audience residents of single-family houses of the Forca Vouga district, where the project LIFE PAYT is being implemented. The course was given by Eng. The Water and Waste Services Regulation Authority has published a technical guide for the implementation of PAYT systems

On 14 December 2017, ERSAR (Water and Waste Services Regulation Authority) presented a preliminary report for the sector entitled: “Technical guide for the implementation of PAYT systems”. “Waste is not Water”

“Waste is not water” is DECO’s (Consumer Rights Organization) campaign to demand the alteration of the waste tariff for the polluter-pays system. The DECO campaign, which runs from 10 October to 30 November, aims to debate in the various municipalities in Portugal, to create an alternative system for calculating the municipal waste tariff. LIFE PAYT presented at Sardinia 2017 Symposium

Project LIFE PAYT presented at “16th International Waste Management and Landfill Symposium” which was held in Italy (S. Margherita di Pula) from 2-6 October, 2017, one of the largest events on waste in Europe. This Symposium brings together, every two years, the most relevant public and private professionals in the waste sector. In addition to the dissemination of the LIFE PAYT project, the event has become an excellent network opportunity, to share experiences among the various countries present at the event.
