On August 8, 2018, representatives of the project LIFE PAYT, namely the Municipality of Aveiro (CMA) and the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (IPC) conducted a technical visit to the LIPOR facilities, located in Ermesinde.
This meeting was requested following the identification of some problems with the PAYT containers of collective use installed in Aveiro. The goal was to exchange experiences on this type of PAYT containers.
The guide of the visit, engineer Paulo Rodrigues from LIPOR, showed some models of containers that in the last years have been developed by LIPOR and discussed the advantages/disadvantages of each model.
The representatives of the CMA, Paula Lopes and Fernando Almeida, and the coordinator of the project LIFE PAYT, Célia Dias Ferreira, shared their concerns with engineer Paulo Rodrigues about the PAYT containers installed in Aveiro and discussed some ideas on how these might be improved.
