Participation in 1st esLCA Summer School


In the beginning of last July, the research fellow Álvaro Braña, from Polytechnic of Coimbra, participated in the 1st es LCA Summer School, held on the High School of Engineering of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), with the goal of enhance the training of students and professionals in the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology.The group of participants (coming from a wide number of countries), had the opportunity of being introduced to and experience the current most innovating aspects and technics related to LCA, under the guidance of internationally recognised experts. Besides the teaching part, the course was useful for exchanging opinions and sharing experiences between the participant persons, while enjoying the cultural and amusing atmosphere of the Galician capital city.

The technical experience acquired will be useful for the task of environmental evaluation to be developed in the LIFE PAYT project, as well as the creation of synergies and collaborating networks with other projects and research professionals.
