Set of environmental indicators for the LIFE-PAYT project are now defined

During the LIFE PAYT project, a set of indicators will be used to measure the environmental performance of the various actions. The selection of indicators was carried out by a team from the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (IPC) in collaboration with the project partners, the National Technical University of Athens and the Local Authorities involved. Lisbon tests innovative tool for waste reduction

Lisbon will test a PAYT waste tariff model – pay-as-you-throw. The system promotes selective collection and aims to “reduce the municipalities’ costs from waste collection and treatment, contributing to its economic sustainability”. Lisbon Municipality – Reducing waste in South Europe: launch of the LIFE PAYT project

Launch of the LIFE PAYT project in Lisbon

The Polytechnic of Coimbra, in partnership with the Municipality of Coimbra, the Municipality of Aveiro, the Municipality of Condeixa-a-Nova and the University of Aveiro will launch the project LIFE PAY- Tool to reduce waste in South Europe on the 24th of November at 2 pm in Lisbon.
